This web site is dedicated to collecting and sharing historical information about the descendants of John Leichliter, who came to Somerset County about 1795. In this site, you will find information regarding the Leichliter/Lichliter family's history. Although this site was designed and developed by descendants of John Leichliter's great-grandson, Levi Lichliter (who changed the spelling to Lichliter), we encourage any decendants of John Leichliter to share their family's history and stories by posting information in our Guest book or contacting us through Email. Your information will be appreciated and help us to continue building this site. We are particularly seeking information on Jacob's siblings descendants, photographs of older family members, as well as detailed information about them.
